LAB and CIC partner for robotics academy

Louisiana Association for the Blind and the Cyber Innovation Center are presenting their Robotics Academy Friday morning.

The campers demonstrated their robots Friday, July 20 at the Low Vision Rehabilitation Center in Shreveport.

LAB has partnered with Cyber Innovation Center (CIC) to host a technology Robotics Academy for visually impaired high school students.

This technology camp introduces our students to the world of programming, builds skills essential to the STEM curriculum, and prepares them for employment opportunities in the high-demand job fields located on the I49 technology corridor.

The camp also includes presentations from local programmers and IT personnel from area businesses to discuss their day to day work, the education and certifications their position requires, and advancements in the IT and cyber security fields.
