J. Walker Coburn, CPA, a native of Shreveport, will serve the second year of a current two-year term as a Member at-Large of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA). He is a partner in Heard, McElroy & Vestal where his practice focuses on audit and assurance services of financial institutions, closely held businesses and other industries.
A past president of the Shreveport Chapter, Coburn has also served as a former member of the Accounting and Auditing Conference Committee for the LCPA. In the Shreveport community, he has served as the former Treasurer for the CoHab Foundation and Ark-La-Tex Ambassadors, Inc., and currently, he serves on the Southfield School’s Board of Trustees, where his two sons attend school.
Coburn is a graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, MS with a Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Administration in Accounting. He obtained the Advanced Defined Contribution Plans Audit Certificate provided by the American Institute of CPAs.
