Stephen W. Lewis, OD, of WK Eye Institute, has been named Optometrist of the Year by the Optometry Association of Louisiana. The award was presented during the association’s annual membership convention in Baton Rouge.
Dr. Lewis, a 1986 graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn., practices general optometry, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, management and treatment of eye diseases and pre/post care for cataract and Lasik surgery as well as performing various laser procedures.
The Optometry Association of Louisiana selected Dr. Lewis “because of his outstanding contributions to his patients and his profession … and his long-term involvement in the American Optometric Association.”
