The Trademark Women of Distinction, a national registry of accomplished women from every business sector, has selected Yuen “Christine” Wong Rambo, CEcD, for inclusion in its 2018 Honors Edition for demonstrating dedication, leadership and professional excellence. Christine is a Certified Economic Developer and Senior Vice President, Communications and Marketing, for North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP), an Accredited Economic Development Organization serving 14 parishes in North Louisiana. She has 25 years of professional experience in economic development, marketing, journalism, communications and public relations.
Nominees for Trademark Women of Distinction undergo a vetting process, including an extensive review of their academic background, years of service, reputation, peer review, and client or customer/patient feedback. The candidate is interviewed and evaluated by a selection committee. Trademark’s selection committee praised Christine Wong Rambo for her compassion and expertise, which set the standard for the industry.

Christine Wong Rambo has served in various roles for NLEP over the past 8 years. She is currently the Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing, focused on telling North Louisiana’s story to the rest of the world. In 2017, International Economic Development Council (IEDC) awarded NLEP an Excellence in Economic Development Silver Award for Video/Multimedia Promotion. Previously, she led NLEP’s business development program as the SVP of Business Development and Marketing, and before that she served as NLEP’s Vice President, Communications & Corporate Affairs.
Prior to joining NLEP, Christine worked as the Marketing Specialist for the Louisiana Small Business Development State Office, located at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Before transitioning into economic development, Christine was an award-winning anchor/reporter for KNOE-TV in Monroe and KTBS in Shreveport for 12 years. She won three Louisiana Associated Press Awards for Investigative Journalism and Feature Writing and a national award from Radio Television Digital News Association. Christine earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from American University in Washington, D.C. and is currently working on her Master of Business Administration at University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Christine has served on numerous boards, including New Opportunities Vision Achievement (NOVA) workforce program, Twin City Ballet Company, Strauss Little Theater, and Silver Water Girl Scouts. She is married to Judge Wilson Rambo, and they have two children: Shelby, age 15 and Jarred, age 13.
