RUSTON – Argent Financial Group has been named the winner of a Stevie Award for Company of the Year in the 16th Annual American Business Awards.
The Ruston, Louisiana-based financial services company received a bronze award in the large financial services industry category. This is the first year Argent has won a Stevie Award, which is widely recognized as one of the nation’s top business awards.
More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Entries were judged by a group of more than 200 professionals worldwide, a mixture of volunteers and previous Stevie Award winners.
Judges noted Argent’s recent growth, including its acquisition earlier this year of Nashville-based Independence Trust and its opening of new trust offices in Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, for a total of 28 offices located across 12 Southern states. They also praised the company for impressively high satisfaction scores from its 240 employees.
“We’re honored to receive this award, particularly because it reinforces our belief that Argent is a great community of people who care about delivering personalized service to our clients,” said Kyle McDonald, chief executive officer of Argent Financial Group. “As always, our employees are the reason for this achievement, and we’re grateful for their hard work.”
All organizations operating in the U.S. are eligible to submit nominations to the American Business Awards — public and private, for-profit and nonprofit, large and small.
“The nominations submitted for The 2018 American Business Awards were outstanding. The competition was intense, and those recognized as Stevie Award winners should be immensely proud of this accomplishment,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
