Shreveport’s CyberReef Solutions has been selected by telecom management experts and industry analysts as the top value proposition in Telcom Management Industry.
The company was announced as winners at the 2018 AOTMP Summit Awards in Orlando, Fla, on April 17.
CyberReef Solutions was voted to have delivered the most compelling customer use case in the telecom management channel.
“This industry is focused on reducing telecommunications costs for mobile data connectivity. CyberReef’s solution reduces data consumption by 40-80 percent on mobile smartphones,” said Hilton Nicholson, CEO of CyberReef Solutions. “This award confirms that we provide The Top Value Proposition in the Telcom Management Industry.”
CyberReef Solutions is a technology company that makes machine-to-machine communication more secure and simplifies mobile data networking.
CyberReef has added capabilities beyond machine-to-machine security to include data control to reduce overages and enhance productivity for corporations and to control and filter the internet in child education settings.
Verizon, AT&T and Sprint are now using CyberReef services. A new strategy has been deployed to leverage Telecom Expense Management companies that wish to use CyberReef’s data control capabilities.
They plan to leverage this award with potential customers as proof of their value proposition.
“This will help accelerate adoption of our solution to help enterprises reduce mobile data consumption and cost,” Nicholson said.
Nicholson said CyberReef is creating technology jobs in the areas of network engineering, technical support and software programming. They have increased from two to eight employees in Shreveport/Bossier and from four to 20 employees in the US.
“We experienced 425 percent growth in 2017 and expect continued growth 2018,” Nicholson said.
CyberReef Solutions is a member of the Biomedical Research Foundation’s (BRF) New Louisiana Angel Fund, made of 53 angel investors, that provides capital to entrepreneurs and investment opportunities to accredited investors wanting to promote high-growth startup opportunities.
He credited the BRF and its Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program, saying that without them then would not be in Shreveport-Bossier.
“The BRF/EAP has been instrumental in providing the funding and mentorship needed to move us from a start-up to a growth stage business.“
