Chesapeake official Paul Pratt has left the company to join the group behind the new Cross Bayou development.

Pratt has formally resigned his position as director of government relations with Chesapeake Energy Corporation to join Gateway Development Consortium (GDC) full-time.

According to a press release, this is in order to lead the company through local and state approval of its billion-dollar Cross Bayou Point project.

“Paul’s experience working within the corporate, community and
government realms, at the highest level, will be invaluable to GDC as we negotiate a Public Private Partnership for Cross Bayou,” said GDC’s Attorney Curtis Joseph.

The GDC presented its plan last week before the Shreveport City Council’s Task Force on Small And Emerging Businesses and requested a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with GDC.
