Shreveport Chamber hosts breakfast with Dr. Lamar Goree

The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its first “What’s Happening Breakfast” of 2018 next Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 8 a.m. at the Shreveport Petroleum Club.

This month’s presentation and question and answer session will feature Dr. Lamar Goree, superintendent of Caddo Parish Schools. He’ll discuss school performance scores, the Transformation Next Zone and the district management group.

“The Chamber’s ‘What’s Happening Breakfast’ series is designed to give a high-level overview of the strengths and challenges of our city,” stated Dr. Timothy J. Magner, president of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. “Our hope is that these events can provide a glimpse behind the curtain of what our city leaders are doing to improve the quality of life here in Shreveport.”

This event is open to the public, but registration is required. Tickets can be purchased online at www.shreveportchamber.org.
