Volunteers of America North Louisiana’s Visionaries announces Shreveport native as 2018 Chair

Volunteers of America North Louisiana is thrilled to announce Shreveport native Nick Oliver as the 2018 Chair to lead their community group, Visionaries.

Nick, currently a Financial Analyst at the Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program, will be Visionaries’ first leader.

“We have a great group of volunteers who are a passionate about serving those in need in our community,” Oliver shares. “I’m excited for a great year ahead.”

Visionaries is an initiative aimed at introducing young people in the community to Volunteers of America and offering easy, affordable ways to give back while enjoying events around the community. Visionaries hosts quarterly happy hours with a purpose – also known as “Sip n Serve” events. Last year, over 100 people attended Visionaries’ Sip n Serve events and collected toys, school supplies, as well as healthy snacks for children in Volunteers of America North Louisiana’s LightHouse, an after-school and summer program.
