So, We Changed Up Things a Bit at BIZ.

You’ve undoubtedly noticed the change in BIZ. this month. It’s the latest step in our evolution to fulfill our mission as the premier source of business news in northwest Louisiana.

We began life in 2008 as Bossier Business Monthly, a special piece inserted into our sister publication the Bossier Press-Tribune.

Then, the Great Recession hit and it all went dark for a year. Reborn as NWLA Business Monthly in 2010, the scope grew to encompass Shreveport as well.

In 2013, BIZ. was born as a business magazine dedicated to educating business leaders. It then evolved again as more of a feature piece on the local business sector of Shreveport-Bossier.
We’ve really enjoyed the last few years of BIZ., but our readers expect more timeliness and to-the-point, matter-of-fact coverage.

That’s why BIZ. has again adapted to a business journal format and expanded to twice per month.

The new press located in Minden where BIZ. is printed.

This means more coverage of NWLA news and the timeliness our audience of business owners, entrepreneurs, and decision makers want and expect.

You will find monthly specials inside an issue, as well as the occasional special edition. We’ll launch regular events that tie into the specials to further connect the community.

We will still be mailed free to members of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Bossier Chamber of Commerce, Minden South Webster Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation, & commanders at Barksdale Air Force Base.

We will still be mailed to our subscribers and available at relevant locations throughout  Shreveport-Bossier.

Digitally, we are becoming more engaged online by beefing up our news product for the free Daily Report email. An online edition will be available at www.bizmagsb.com. And an engaging, interactive app will be available soon to reach those on the move.

Bottom Line: We are upping our commitment to our audience of business leaders and affluent decision makers.

As the sole publication dedicated to the northwest Louisiana business community, BIZ. has to connect that community by providing valuable news about their worlds of industry & commerce.
We’re excited to grow and evolve into this next chapter of BIZ. We look forward to having you join along with us.
