An event next month will bring together inventors, entrepreneurs, and product companies to discuss the latest trends in technology commercialization and product licensing.
Tech2Market will be held at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Remington Suite Hotel and Spa, 220 Travis St., in downtown Shreveport.
Dr. Davy Norris, chief of innovation at Louisiana Tech, will open the night by explaining why it’s smart to involve universities in developing or marketing new products. He will share how to leverage the resources of the University for your business.
Dr. Konstantin Dolgan, co-founder of LA New Product Development Team, will shed light on how to design products, build prototypes, and manage teams that would do that for you.
Keynote speaker will be Stephen Key. Known as “The god of product licensing,” Stephen is a serial inventor, a contributor to several national business publications and resources, a co-founder of the product licensing school Invent Right, and the author of the several bestsellers, including the “One Simple Idea: Turn Your Dreams Into a Licensing Goldmine While Letting Others Do the Work”.
Stephen has developed such popular products as Michael Jordan’s WallBall, the Spinformation rotating label, and HotPicks guitar picks. At the same time, he mastered the skill of enjoying the entrepreneur’s life to the fullest. He develops ideas for new products, licenses them out, collects royalty checks, and doesn’t look back.
In addition, 20 physical product startups will be featured at the event. Companies are being screened now for the event.
Finally, food, drinks, and live music will be provided.
The event is being co-hosted by LA New Product Development Team and EAP.
