MONROE BancorpSouth Bank has announced the promotion of Kevin Koh to president of its Louisiana Region with responsibility for all 29 banking locations in Louisiana with approximately $1.5 billion in deposits and $1.6 billion in loans.

Koh most recently served as the bank’s Northeast Louisiana division president, after he joined BancorpSouth in January 2018, through its merger with Ouachita Independent Bank, where he served as president and CEO.

“Kevin’s experience and results-driven success make him an excellent choice to lead the bank’s efforts across Louisiana,” said BancorpSouth President and Chief Operating Officer Chris Bagley. “His dedication to helping customers achieve their financial goals will be key as he leads our team in the Bayou State.”

Koh is a veteran banker with 33 years of banking experience, beginning his career in the management training program of a locally-based Monroe, La. bank. During his 15 years with OIB, he was promoted through the ranks from chief credit officer to the president, then to chief executive officer.

Koh received a bachelor’s degree in finance and commercial banking from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
